Another trip to Mazama

For the Canada Day long weekend, we fled rainy Vancouver and went to our favorite cabin again. This time, it was sunny, dry, and hot hot hot. I love the drive to Mazama, the scenery on the mountain passes are incredible. Deers are an issue though and we almost crashed into one in the middle of the highway. Luckily my two cans of large red bull allowed me to react quickily, thus preventing some unfortunate insurance claims.

During the days in Mazama, we took strolls, hiked, swam at the lake, rock climbed a bit. As usual, we wished we could stay longer.

It’s interesting and refreshing to live without internet or cable, even for just a day or two. Dinners become so much livelier as no one is checking their Facebook or messages every 30seconds. And instead of everyone staring at the TV, books and board games are pulled put for a much more stimulating activity.

The simple life.

Hong Kong. Travel. Climb. In that order.
