Hiking Sharp Peak, Sai Kung (蚺蛇尖)

This summer has been usually quiet for me in terms of travel, but we have had decent weather in Hong Kong for most of July and August so it has been a treat. One of the things I did recently was hike to Sharp Peak, Sai Kung. It is my second time up and both times in August. In fact, this time up Sharp Peak was one of the hottest recorded days in Hong Kong, reaching a windless 34-37c! But we were prepared having bought up lots of water and starting the hike at 8am.

Our hike was Section 2 of MacLehose Trail –>Sharp Peak –> Tai Long Sai Wan –> Speedboat back.

After the summit, it is always a mad dash to the beach to cool off and enjoy the clear waters of Sai Kung. The descent is chossy and steep.

Hong Kong. Travel. Climb. In that order.
